The Bostitch Hardwood Flooring stapler is a pneumatic tool that shoots a heavy gauge 1/2" wide crown staple to tongue and groove flooring. It is an air tool that is far superior to the mechanical models. The mallet is used to fire the tool and at the same time helps to achieve a nice tight fitting joint. The pneumatic tool requires less effort to drive than mechanical tools resulting in less operator fatigue. The heavy gauge staples are coated to add additional holding power. If you put them in wrong you will have to really work at getting them out! The Bostitch M3FS flooring stapler is specifically designed for 3/4" tongue and groove flooring. Tongue and groove nailers will require manual or face nailing of the first few boards unless you have the drywall off and you can place the tool between studs. The air tool requires less than 4 CFM of air so it can run on almost any size air compressor. It includes an attached air pressure regulator for accurate depth placement of the staple.
