The Bostitch Prefinished Hardwood Flooring stapler is a pneumatic tool designed for tongue and groove fastening of 3/8" thick prefinished laminate flooring. Standard larger hardwood flooring staplers are designed to shoot a heavy gauge fastener into a 3/4" flooring board. When used on the smaller 3/8" laminated flooring these units will break off the tongue. The Bostitch S3297-LHF stapler is designed strictly for the thinner laminated flooring. It shoots a lighter 20 gauge staple that is 1" long and has a 3/16" crown. The staples are coated to add additional holding power. Click on our Hardwood Flooring Stapler link to view information about that tool.  Tongue and groove nailers will require manual or face nailing of the first few boards unless you have the drywall off and you can place the tool between studs. The air tool requires around 2 CFM of air so it can run on almost any size air compressor. It includes an attached air pressure regulator for accurate depth placement of the staple.
