Bullfloat

bullfloat

Features:
Bullfloats are made of magnesium and are 42" wide. Bullfloats are used to work cement immediately after striking it off. They will reduce surface imperfections and level off minor humps and fill in minor divots, but the main purpose is to push the stones down into the mix and bring the cream up to the top so that a smooth finish can be obtained.

Bullfloats are meant to be used as an intermediate step between striking off and finish troweling, but quite often the troweling step is skipped and brooming is the next and final step. Be aware that this doesn't produce a hard finish and the surface will more easily pock mark in the future than if it was troweled and then broomed. For more information, please check out our concrete finishing tutorial.

Handles are not included with bullfloat rentals. Six-foot-long handle sections are available at additional cost and can also be used on the concrete finishing brooms.
