Lawn spreaders are available in two versions. The drop spreader is the most popular. It is the most accurate and is generally required when critical coverage is expected such as when seeding. The advantage of the broadcast spreader is that it casts the material farther out, therefore saving time, but does so less accurately. If you are applying anything where accuracy is important we would recommend the drop style of spreader.
