Our ridge reamer is designed to remove the ridge that occurs in the upper cylinder. The piston rings don't rub all the
way up to the top of the cylinder so as the cylinder wears an upper ridge is left standing. This ridge needs to be removed
before the piston assemblies are removed or else the rings will hook on the ridge and you will damage the piston when trying to
force it out. The ridge reamer can also be used to remove a heavy carbon buildup that may be present in the same spot due to
the effects of combustion.
