Features:
Our David White LT8-300 Transit is a contractor's transit that features vertical as well as horizontal swing. While not as
accurate as our Automatic Level, it is indeed an
excellent quality instrument capable of accuracy up to 3/16" at 150'. The big advantage of the transit over the automatic
level is that the scope can tilt down to view marks on the ground. This eliminates errors caused by grade poles held slightly
out of plumb when transferring corners to the ground. If you're not laying out corners the automatic level is faster to set up
and more accurate to use. The 26X scope is of the finest optical quality glass and can reach out to a rated 400' maximum job
range. This unit also comes with adjustable focus hairs to achieve the most precise measurement possible. The unit does come with
a plumb bob, a heavy duty tripod and extendable grade pole marked in feet, inches, and eighths. This is an excellent unit for
setting up perfectly level forms for concrete flatwork or building foundations as well as laying out corners.
