Our Diamond Pier Installation Bit is specifically used to drive the ground rods used when installing the Diamond Pier footing system. The driver has a 1-1/8" x 6" hex shank, which would fit a 60 or 90 lb. class air hammer or our 60 lb. electric demolition hammers. While these hammers definitely have the power to drive the rods into the ground, they are quite heavy and awkward to handle. A better choice is our 35 lb. electric demolition hammer, which uses the same hex shank size as the larger tools but is much easier to handle.
